Our Mission

Tokyo Python was established in June 2017 by William Touzalin with a simple goal: to provide a welcoming space for Pythonistas of all levels to share knowledge and connect.

Whether you're writing your first "Hello World" or you're a seasoned core developer, you have a place here. We focus on English-language engagement to bridge the gap for Tokyo's international tech community.

Tokyo Python is dedicated to providing a harassment-free and welcoming experience for everyone. We value community participation and want everyone to feel comfortable and respected.

Being Respectful: Treat all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and organizers with courtesy and consideration.
Being Inclusive: Welcome and be kind to everyone, regardless of their background, experience level, or identity.
Communicating Thoughtfully: Use welcoming and inclusive language. Be mindful of differing viewpoints.
Avoiding Harassment: Harassment in any form will not be tolerated. This includes offensive comments, discrimination, intimidation, or unwelcome attention.
Respecting Privacy: Please ask for explicit consent before taking or publishing photos or videos of other attendees.

Reporting an Issue

If you experience or witness any behavior that violates this code, please inform an organizer immediately. You can approach organizers at the event, or reach out securely via:

We reserve the right to take appropriate action, including expulsion from meetups or bans from our online spaces, in response to any violations.
